Scope

This policy covers the SmartFood Solution marketing website. It does not describe data processing within the SmartFood Solution application, which is covered by separate contractual and privacy information.

Contact by email

The website has no contact form. Clicking an email link opens your email application. If you write to us, we process your email address, name and the information you send to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), where applicable, or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information.

Retention: Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are retained for 24 months after the last contact and then deleted. Correspondence needed for contracts, legal obligations or legal claims is retained according to the relevant purpose and applicable periods.

Website delivery and security

The hosting service may record technical request data, including IP address, request time, requested address and browser information. These are used to deliver and protect the website and investigate faults or abuse, based on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Log retention: According to DreamWeb Hosting, server log retention depends on the service, type and purpose of the log and ranges from several weeks to more than a year. This range covers different hosting services; a separate retention period for visits to this website has not been confirmed.

Optional audience measurement

Google Analytics is enabled only after you consent to analytics cookies. It measures page views and basic browser/device information using online identifiers. Google receives network request information, including your IP address; GA4 states that it does not log or store individual IP addresses. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising personalisation or User-ID. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Refusing does not affect access to the website. You can withdraw consent through Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Recipients and international transfers

Authorised staff and the hosting and email providers may process information as needed to operate the website and answer enquiries. Hosting provider: DreamWeb Hosting. A provider’s country does not by itself establish where your data is stored.

According to DreamWeb Hosting, hosting accounts are stored on servers in Germany. Backups are stored in the Netherlands and Finland for up to eight weeks. Technical support may access the hosting account from Serbia when needed. The provider has not confirmed the specific international transfer safeguard for access from Serbia. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at the email address above. We normally respond within one month; complex or numerous requests can require an extension of up to two further months, and we will explain it. You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly where you live or work or where an alleged infringement occurred. This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
